How to work a contact record

Use this guide when you are inside CRM and need one place to understand a person and decide what to do next.

What the contact record includes

The contact detail view combines:

  • identity and reach-out actions
  • enrollments and lifecycle
  • communication history
  • feedback, appointments, tasks, fields, and notes

Typical workflow

  1. Open the contact from CRM or the inbox.
  2. Start with the sidebar for identity, lifecycle, revenue, and quick actions.
  3. Check Enrollments to see what the person has bought or completed.
  4. Check Communication before reaching out again.
  5. Use Lifecycle, Feedback, Appointments, Tasks, or Notes depending on the job at hand.

Fast actions from the contact

You can usually:

  • call or email
  • message the contact if channels are connected
  • create an appointment
  • create a task
  • add a note

When the record feels confusing

Use this order:

  1. enrollments
  2. lifecycle
  3. recent communication
  4. feedback or appointments, if those are relevant
