AI search visibility
Track how chosen buyer questions appear in supported answer engines, inspect the evidence, and prepare content work for a gap.
AI search visibility
TL;DR
- AEO tracks a small, deliberate bank of buyer questions across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
- Run a scan to collect answers and citations. You can close the progress dialog while the scan continues.
- Open a metric or prompt to inspect the evidence behind it, then prepare Content Studio work for a gap you choose.
- AEO does not publish content or prove that a content change caused revenue or answer-engine movement.
Use AI search visibility when you need to understand whether your company and pages appear in the answers a buyer receives from an AI assistant. It is an evidence and decision surface. It does not try to turn every possible question into a tracked metric.
Start with a small prompt bank
Open Analytics → AEO. If the workspace does not yet have an answer-engine profile, choose Prepare prompts to continue in Content.
Once the profile is active, open Prompt bank. You can add a question a buyer would plausibly ask or ask the system to discover suggestions. Review the suggestions, then keep only the questions that matter to your category, alternatives, or high-intent pain. A new or discovered question starts as a suggestion, not as a tracked prompt. Select individual rows, all rows, the unscored rows, or a highest-value group; then choose Score selected. Once every selected suggestion has an Opportunity Value, choose Confirm selection to add it to the tracked bank.
Open a suggestion when the wording is nearly right but not quite. Edit and Save and score replace the proposed wording and recalculate its Opportunity Value before it can be tracked. Tracked prompts keep their wording because scan history and citations belong to that exact buyer question; add a new prompt instead when the question itself has changed.
The prompt bank shows the current tracking count and scan cadence. You can pause a prompt when it is temporarily not useful, resume it later, or archive it when it should no longer be part of the evidence set.
Run a scan and read what completed
Select Run scan from AEO or the prompt bank. The progress dialog shows the answer engines separately and counts the answers collected for each one. A scan can take a few minutes. Closing the dialog does not cancel it.
When a scan finishes, incomplete engines remain visible. Their missing answers do not contribute to that scan's metrics. This makes a partial scan useful without making it look complete.
Inspect the evidence, not only the summary
The AEO overview includes visibility score, average citation rank, competitor win rate when competitors are configured, and the number of cited pages. Select a metric to see the answers and citations that contributed to it.
Use the prompt bank when you need a narrower view. Expand a tracked prompt to see its latest provider evidence. The result distinguishes a citation, a brand mention, and an answer where your company was not named.
Share of voice may be unavailable. Blesso shows it only when it can detect all named brands consistently enough for the value to mean something.
Turn a useful gap into prepared work
Open Content gaps to review the detected opportunities. Each item explains whether the next move is to improve an existing page or prepare on-domain content. Select Create work only for a gap you want to pursue.
Blesso then creates one Content Studio idea and editorial brief, and opens that work. This action does not draft or publish customer-facing content. Select Reject when a gap is not useful; it is removed from the offered list.
The next scan is the evidence for whether the underlying answer-engine result changed. Acceptance alone is not proof of impact.
